the major urban cities like Dhaka, Chittagong, Khulna, and Rajshahi, now,
Rangpur is the most important city in the southern part of Bangladesh. Since the
traffic problem in Bangladesh is increasing at an alarming rate, has become an
area of interest for research. As such, the current study is an attempt to

LITERATURE REVIEW
In both developed and underdeveloped countries, traffic jam
can be considered as one of the serious global problems. For the developing
countries increases in urban population are creating pressure on the
transportation system. For this reason traffic problem has already become a
part of urban life. Consequently, loss many times side by side cause economical loss, sound pollution, and so on. The quality of life of the city
dwellers is also getting annoyance by disturbance of sleep and for this reason, many dieses are attracted to city dwellers.
Rickshaws are commonly blamed for the traffic chaos in
Bangladesh, Rangpur city is not out of this.

reason, and the way of solutions. It will explain all the background reasons for the traffic jam. All of the backgrounds will discuss details and every corner also
will be discussed. It will examine the effect of the economic system of Bangladesh.
How government take proper steps to solve the problem and how strict about the
laws and also the punishment of the lawbreakers.
There are many limitations to doing this work:
*Time frame: if the time will be shortened researcher can not do this work properly because it is practical to work. Researchers have to go
field and observe physically that’s why more time is needed.
*Information gap: Though it is field-based work researchers have to collect data of total vehicles, total traffic police, and so
on. To collect this info researchers have to go city corporation office to
collect all info but the hazard can run behind you. Sometimes the authority cannot
deliver info without money.

environmental issues like traffic congestion is occurring, its overall impact
on the quality of life of the city dwellers, and some potential solution for
this challenging problem. This research has to be practical way and secondary
information is used to conduct this research. Secondary data is collected
through content analysis from various published sources including books, online
journals, newspapers, magazines, and reports.

*To collect the material from the field and short time frame.
*to collect statistics from government office faces many
problems
*Accurate data is not available in secondary data.
Time frame
for the work:
1st phase: March – April 2022: Prepare the
work questionnaire, deep investigation, field research, and data collecting, and
make a draft.
2nd phase: May 2022: data analyzing, arranging, and finalization. Editing, rewriting, and preparing the final report. Presentation and
submitting a report in the last week of May.
